Harry + Larry’s General Store is a corner store/local shop set in the compound located at 4 Yewers Street alongside Back Alley Sally’s, Slice Girls West, The Line and Lickety Split. Being a former garage housing a private collection of high powered sports cars, in collaborating with Jo, Andrew and Victoria we took inspiration from the script typography of famous car, scooter and motorbike badges. Starting as a throwaway line to help me place H+L among it’s category, on the spectrum from Farmer’s Market stall to the behemoth Coles and Woolies brands, ‘Not too fancy, but better than you think’ became a great reference point for the whole identity of H+L.
